Committee Letter Timeline

Each year, typically in late January or early February, we host two mandatory workshops.  We advertise these workshops through our Pre-Health Advising Canvas site.  If you seek a committee letter but are not an active member of this Canvas site, please email PH_advising@txstate.edu to be added. 

In advance of the application workshops, we will provide a registration form for applicants who believe they qualify for a committee letter. Once we have a headcount, we will host workshops which will focus on both the application process in general and the committee letter process specifically. Workshops are repeated multiple times and are offered both in person and via Zoom.

In March we will open a calendar with the available interview slots for that year's application cycle. For applicants who have not worked with the Pre-Health Committee before, interviews will be 45 minutes in length.  For applicants who have worked with the Pre-Health Committee in the past, interviews will be 25 minutes in length. Sign ups for an interview spot are first come, first serve. 

Interviews take place on Fridays in April and can be held in person or via Zoom. We will adjust the number of interview slots available each week based on applicant demand.

Committee letters are written and committee packets are assembled and uploaded throughout the summer as the medical and dental school application cycle proceeds.
